Thame Remembers

Gulf Delivery

Another Thame Remembers cross was delivered last Sunday by Ann & Adrian Dite from Thame, who made the special trip to Bahrain whilst visiting their son in Doha for Christmas.

They commemorated Warrant Officer Joseph Arthur Castle, who died in 1957 whilst serving in the Cyprus Conflict.

The ceremony, on Sunday morning, was well supported by the local community in Manama and members of the church congregation, and was joined by the Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral and a contingent of three serving members of the Royal Navy (HMS Penzance).

We hope to have a full report of Adrian & Ann’s visit in our next newsletter.
